Print Design and Marketing Support
Process:

Completion Date:
Optimize It. Designs strives to send the client the first draft for most projects after three business days of receiving the signed contract, completed design worksheet, initial payment and all files, graphics and information the designer requests before commencement of the project. Clients will be notified if their project will take longer than the standard time-frame. Revision durations vary depending on how long it takes to communicate between client and Optimize It. Designs and the extent of the revision work requested.
Copyright:
Clients have full copyright of the final, approved copywriting and graphic design work after final payment is received, with the condition that Optimize It. Designs is credited for the work with a byline consisting of its company name and web site stated on the writing piece or design itself. Optimize It. Designs and its staff reserves the right to showcase the finished product for promotional purposes, such as including samples in portfolios.
The client guarantees that any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks etc. used in the project are owned by the client.
Payment:
Half of the payment (50%) is due prior to commencement of work and the remaining half of the payment (50%) is due after project approval and before Optimize It. Designs sends the client his/her final files. Payment shall be made by PayPal, cash, check (within Canada) or money order (outside of Canada) payable to "Optimize It. Designs". The contract and or terms and conditions will include the price stated plus 8% PST for those who reside in Ontario if any CDs are requested.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
In the event that the client requests the project to be cancelled, Optimize It. Designs has the right to bill pro rata for work completed at the hourly rate. If the client requests a refund, work already completed will be billed at the hourly rate and deducted from the initial payment.
Additional Expenses:
The contract does not include additional expenses such as special fonts, stock photography, internal services mentioned after the terms and conditions were agreed upon and extra external services such as search engine optimization tools etc. that are requested by the client. Clients will be billed for these separately.
Limited Liability:
Optimize It. Designs does not create or promote the use of any text or graphic designs that are directly in opposition to Islamic teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah. This includes but is not limited to text or graphics containing pornography, immodest dress, obscenity, nudity, harmful material, illegal activity, music with instruments, three-dimensional images or illustrative faces with eyes or photographs of animate objects. There are limited, specific cases where illustration or photographs of animate objects are allowed according to the legal rulings of Islamic scholars when the benefit clearly outweighs the harm (ex. for some educational purposes or for some projects geared towards small children under the age of puberty) and these specific situations will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
The client is responsible for data backups of all final files.
Errors and Omissions:
Optimize It. Designs makes every effort to ensure the copy submitted to you is free of errors and omissions. This includes spelling errors and content; however, this is not guaranteed. We suggest you review the copy thoroughly before committing to production.
Electronic Signatures and Contracts:
Your use of Optimize It. Designs services includes the ability to enter into agreements or make purchases electronically. You acknowledge that your electronic submissions constitute your agreement and intent to be bound by such agreements. You consent to Optimize It. Designs sending you any required information in electronic form, either via e-mail or by access to the Optimize It. Designs website.
Confidentiality:
Optimize It. Designs and the client agree to not disclose any confidential information of this agreement to any person whatsoever.
Web Design
Process:

Maintenance
Maintenance services are not included in the web packages and are quoted separately. However, the client's contract includes minor modifications and corrections requested within a two-week period up to an average of one hour per page, including updating links and making minor changes to a sentence or paragraph. It does not include removing nearly all the text from a page and replacing it with new text. Any more than that, the client will pay extra fees for maintenance, either paid by the hour or under a set fee maintenance contract. You may choose a continual maintenance contract or to pay by the hour for occasional updates.

Designs and its staff reserves the right to showcase the finished product for promotional purposes, such as showcasing samples in a portfolio.

- Additional consultation requested
- Web pages of more than 1200 words of text
- More graphics requested than the web package allows for
- Additional webpages requested
- More than three revisions requested
- Additional maintenance than is outlined in the contract
- 'Optional extra' services
- Additional services requested throughout the project that is beyond the scope of the initial contract

Designs is not liable for any damages that result from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion or loss of files or data that are caused by acts of God, communication failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to records.
Optimize It. Designs does not promise or imply that we guarantee the client's web site a certain rating in search engines.
